The Reflective Retreat is a journey of fun, reflection, learning and self-discovery. It is a time away where people and families can connect, to explore and enhance their relationships.
The program is designed to assist all types of people, families or groups by implementing processes for building greater respect and increased self-awareness.
The Reflective Retreat is a needs-based program with a flexible process. It assists self-empowerment by exploring how beliefs, values, thinking, feelings and behaviour impact the self
and others.
A retreat is organised with those involved. The location, resources and needs are discussed and determined.
A program outline is developed in collaboration with the participants. The program outline becomes a guide and is adapted to suit the group or personal needs and requirements.
During the retreat, sessions are facilitated in a gentle and professional manner aimed at bringing people together. The retreat is about escaping routines and getting away to explore, within and without.
The Reflective Retreat may include one person, a group of friends, a family, an extended group of family members or work groups.
The Reflective Retreat consists of fun activities combined with times for reflection, discussion and self-exploration. The sessions are informal and needs based.
The amount of sessions can be a few or many depending on the group and personal needs.
Specialist programs can be developed by Smash the Sky staff in collaboration with organisations and individuals. Typical programs may include specific sessions, outings (special days out), trips away or a combination of these activities. Both individual and group sessions may be included.
The Reflective Retreat is process rather than outcome focused.
The process leads to group and personal outcomes that are designed to nurture emotional and psychological development, build resilience and self-empowerment. The needs based nature of the program helps determine the focus of the outcomes.
The Reflective Retreat offers the possibility to develop awareness and resilience. An opportunity to connect with your family, friends or work mates, to reflect on yourself and build your relationships.
